I don’t think after this experience we’ll eat there again. I will say the person answering the phone was very nice and the restaraunt had a cute set-up. I also got an unsweetened Peach □ Tea and threw most of it away. I gave some to my husband and he said my burger was better and he could taste the Swiss cheese and mushrooms. I did not get the steak knife portion and it was surely big enough, however, there wasn’t a lot of seasoning to it. My Swiss/Mushroom Burger □ was so-so and I would give it between a 2 1/2 and 3. warm and they were soggy, we threw a big majority of them away. We were both very disappointed in our sweet potato □ □ fries. He said they were Luke-warm without a lot of flavor to them. He ate about 3 or 4 of his French fries □ and threw the rest away. He said the bun felt stale and that it didn’t seem like it had been toasted or steamed, he couldn’t taste the bacon □, and the main thing he tasted on the burger was barbecue sauce. My husband said he would give his burger □, the “Steak Knife Smokehouse Burger” a 2. I did really enjoy that and thought it was good. My favorite thing were the Onion Rings, but I think the reason why was because of the sauce it came with. We were both pretty hungry, but when we started eating our food, we were not overly thrilled with the majority of it. and the person answering the phone was very nice. The menu looked so good (we were in the mood for hamburgers) □. We needed a place where we could pick-up without dining in as we have our dog with us. Should you want to make a Purple Cow Shake instead, just blend a cup each of frozen grape juice concentrate (I’d say fresh grapes would be better), milk and vanilla ice cream till smooth. Oh, and Lassi is a drink that’s meant to be enjoyed by the tall glassful so put away those short fat glasses. Main Menu Hours: 11:00 AM to 8:30 PM Available at 11:00am. This should be enough to make two tall glasses of Black Grape Lassi. There’s really no recipe as such for this glass of purple goodness and all you need to do is blend together about a cup each of chilled yogurt, chilled milk, seedless black grapes and a little powdered sugar until smooth and frothy. This also makes a interesting children’s party drink. A strangely purple coloured milk drink might not be a choice that a lot of grown-ups might make, but I think it’s a great way to get children have their quota of calcium and fruit. The only standout features Yale doesn’t have are a panic button, cellular backup, and a storage option (you need to buy an SD card separately), but you’re not paying for a monthly subscription, so it’s a small addition for the benefit of avoiding contracts and additional fees like you would have with a SimpliSafe or Ring system in place.ġx Smart Hub, 1x yellow siren, 1x motion detector, 1x keypadġx Smart Hub, 2x motion detectors, 1 x door/window contact sensor, 1x keypadġx Smart Hub, 1x yellow siren, 2x motion detectors, 1 x door/window contact sensor, 1x keypadġx Smart Hub, 1x grey siren, 2x motion detectors, 1 x door/window contact sensor, 1x Keypad Cost-wise, it’s reasonable compared to the likes of Ring and Hey! for a basic starter pack and does everything you would expect and need it to do, such as send real-time notifications, let you arm and disarm your system remotely, live stream footage via the app and so on. Its systems are simple to set up and seemingly long lasting (a sales advisor tells us some kits are still going strong after five years of work) with some general care such as replacing the batteries every 12 to 18 months (even if the app hasn’t notified you to). If you don’t have cameras installed, the alarm will act as a deterrent and alert any neighbours too, while you can decide whether to go back to your property or call the police.įor the quality of products, including connectivity and ease of setup, our researchers found Yale fares pretty well against some top names in the world of home security. You can arm and disarm your system via the app – with a handy geolocation feature to remind you when to set it – meaning if a sensor is triggered but you have cameras installed and see it’s a false alarm, you can turn it off. You’ll receive real-time notifications when motion is detected on any of the sensors, as well as tamper alerts for any outdoor sirens you have and you’ll be able to live stream footage from any indoor or outdoor cameras you have installed too. Yale’s is a completely self-monitored home security system. From there, you can install all of your alarm accessories, such as motion sensors or contact sensors for windows and doors, and connect everything via the Yale Home app. With mostly positive reviews on Trustpilot and Amazon, a good customer service experience on our researchers’ part, and indications that it delivers where expected, Yale ranks well compared with other notable brands in this space and appears to be a modern home security system worth trying.Īs with most smart home security systems out there, Yale is powered through the Smart Hub, which is a standing unit that plugs into the mains and an ethernet cable for the internet connection. Geofencing features remind you to turn the system on should you forget in the morning rush, and you’ll receive live notifications when any sensors are disrupted or if someone approaches your house, alerting an outdoor camera, for example. For self-monitoring, the Yale Home app is compatible with smart home speakers Google Home and Amazon Alexa to control your system with your voice. You can get set up for less than £200 with a four-piece package, and installing basic products such as motion sensors, indoor cameras and the keypad (which come with all the fittings you need) is easily done, according to customer reviews. And although some costs can creep in – say if you add on professional installation and a couple of additional cameras – the fact there are no monthly fees for a fully comprehensive smart home security system makes it work. When it comes to DIY smart home security systems, Yale appears to be a fairly exemplary provider. As you should have discovered by now, this baseline has everything-beautiful melody at the top, this little beautiful walking bass idea as you hit the beginning of the chorus, and then that funky groove as you hit the second bars 5-8 of the chorus section. Once you learn the verse and the chorus to this song, you will have the foundations for the whole of the song, and what you'll discover is Dee Murray plays variations of the same idea, but in different octaves of the bass guitar to really spice it up and make it interesting. Today, you're going to discover his bass line to Rocket Man, which has absolutely everything from melody to groove to simplicity to feel. To put it in context, he played on all of those incredible "smash it" albums from the 70s and played in front of 400,000 people at Central Park in New York. In my perspective, he's one of those really underrated bass players. Dee Murray was Elton's bass player throughout the 70s and through to the 80s, but he's not one of those names you hear often. This has been one of my favorite songs for decades, and I have never appreciated the true genius and magnificence of Dee Murray's bass line. Through my sleepy haze, I zone in and listen to the bass properly. I say, "Oliver, stick some music on" and so he says, "Alexa, play Elton John" and this song, "Rocket Man" comes on, I want you to imagine this scenario-it's 6:00 AM Sunday, and I'm lying in bed with my five-year-old-old son Oliver, trying to grab a few extra winks so I don't have to get out of bed. Second, the very low-maintenance nature of the refractor telescope makes it a much more portable companion for all types of on-location observations.By contrast, reflector telescopes require relatively regular adjustments to the mirror, not unlike how guitars need to be tuned on a frequent basis. First, refractor telescopes are self-contained units that require virtually no maintenance or adjustments.Lenses for refractor telescopes are more expensive to produce, which means that refracting telescopes typically carry a higher price tag than similarly-sized reflecting telescopesĪs you can see, both telescopes have their particular merits as well as their disadvantages.įor the beginning stargazer, the most commonly recommended telescope is the refractor for a couple of key reasons:.All refractors suffer from some degree of chromatic aberration, which can produce a purple or rainbow-coloured haze around the image this is due to the varying wavelengths of light being bent by the lenses at different rates.Images appear right-side-up, making this telescope an excellent choice for daytime viewing (e.g., bird watching, etc.).

I reduced the CPU temperature to a manageable 80 C (almost 20 C difference!).Īnd now onto how I did it… How to disable Intel Turbo Boost? After few days it struck me - I could play with Windows power settings. However, after googling for several hours I found out, that there’s no way to disable it (unless there’s a switch in the BIOS, but there was nothing like it on mine). A boost from 2 GHz to 2.9 GHz on a laptop will definitely take it one step closer to frying it, so I knew I must try to disable it. In the search box, type troubleshooter, and then click Troubleshooting. Open Control Panel by right click on Start Button. Windows 10 has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with devices and hardware. This results in increased performance of both single and multithreaded applications. Method 1: Run the Hardware and Devices troubleshooter. The processor must be working in the power, temperature, and specification limits of the thermal design power (TDP). From my recent overclocking experience I knew that OC = heat, thus I quickly found my first suspect - Intel Turbo Boost. Intel Turbo Boost Technology is a way to automatically run the processor core faster than the marked frequency. The maximum temperature (according to Intel website) is 100 C for my CPU and I was getting 90-97 C. The CPU was idling at ~50 C, while when I was playing a relatively “heavy” game (like Team Fortress2 or Black Ops) it was getting hot, too hot actually. I sometimes like to play games on my laptop and I often monitor the temperatures. Screaming Frog SEO Spider is a small desktop program you can install on your Mac to spiders websites. Intel Turbo Boost is very useful in certain situations, especially if you’re doing “heavy” computational work, so you might ask why bother disabling it? Well, I recently found one reason. System Tools downloads - Turbo Boost Switcher by Rubén García Pérez and many more programs. So basically if your CPU was designed for 2 GHz Clock speed, Turbo Boost can dynamically overclock it to 2.9 GHz based on the workload (these speeds are here just as an example). Intel Turbo Boost is a relatively new technology, which increases the speed of the Intel CPU on demand, but does it by overclocking it. |
